Shadow Catcher

In case some of you're wondering, here’s why Maggie and I call our van SHADOW CATCHER. In the early 1900’s, Seattle photographer Edward Curtis spent several years in the field, documenting the dress, customs, and ceremonial dances of Western American Indian tribes. In that undertaking, he became known as the Shadow Catcher. Because of my admiration for Curtis and his work, and because some of the photographs in our website galleries are black & white, I fasten magnetic SHADOW CATCHER signs to the van’s front doors when in-the-field.

This blog is to let you know that the prices of my for-sale gallery photos have been greatly reduced, back to what they were over a year ago.  Why did I increase the prices in the first place?  I made the mistake of visiting one of the other Online art gallery websites that specialize in photography, and thought it’d be a good idea to price my photos accordingly.  Big mistake.  Sales of my photos took a dive and have been poor since.  So, back to prices that I pretty much  thought were competitively appropriate in the first place. 

As most of you regular visitors to my site know, the construction of my individual gallery in the Yessy Art Gallery is complete.  All my images that I think are of art gallery quality are now in that site.
